Go Matchy-Matchy
When you’re sporting a patterned look, a great option can be to go matchy-matchy. For instance, when wearing a pattern with mostly one tone, match your earrings to that tint. Or if you are wearing something with a gold detail, extend this to your earrings by wearing, for example, the Helene Earrings.
Color coordinate
When thinking about more adventurous jewelry, choose a tone that is in the same family as your outfit, this way the hues in your accessories are repeated throughout the outfit. For example, if you are wearing a light pink top pair it with the Nicole Earrings in Rose Gold.
Go Neutral
A statement earring can still be neutral, such as gold or silver earrings. When in doubt, pick one of those. Opt for a neutral earring when your outfit is kind of “busy” (like a bright pattern), or you just prefer to wear a neutral and keep things a bit more subdued. One of our favourites for these kinds of looks is the Moon Threader, this shows that even one earring on its own can still be audacious.
Complementary shades
If the thought of wearing lots of color overwhelms you, an easy way to incorporate this into your outfit is to find a patterned piece you like and match your earrings with that shade. That way you make sure the colors in your outfit never clatch. For instance, if you wear a print that has some blue tints in it, wear the Notch Earrings in Royal Blue with this look.
The most important tip of all is to wear it the way you feel comfortable, if a neutral noticeable earrings are already more than enough adventure for you just stick to a beautiful gold or silver pair.
