Enhance your natural features
A big trend this year is bringing out your own natural features. For instance wearing an eyeshadow color that enhances your own eye color or a light coverage foundation that shows through your natural freckles or rosy cheeks.
Rosy cheeks and a nude lip are bridal classics but if you do want to go a bit bolder, go for a light smokey eye for a beautiful sultry look. This look is amazing to pair with nice statement earrings like the Zoe Earrings.
Pearls are making a comeback too, even in make-up. Put some highlighter on your cheekbones, corners of your eyes and center of your lips for an illuminated and pearlescent look. If that feels like too bold a choice for you, go with some actual pearl jewelry like the Moon Threader and the Always Necklace.
Something blue
Brides are starting to love color again, over the past few years this was not done for a bridal look, but it actually looks stunning if you keep the rest of the skin a bit more bare. It is a great way to incorporate your “something blue”, you can do a nice blown out blue smokey eye and keep the lips very soft with a nude gloss.
If that’s not something you would go for but you still want your “something blue”, choose some blue accessoires. This is a very easy way to tie in with this tradition and still make it fashionable, the Bella Earrings in Royal Blue would be absolutely perfect.
Luscious Locks
Of course veils are not going anywhere, but hair combs are also gaining popularity again. If you’re going to wear your hair down, do some bouncy loose waves and put the hair comb on the side of your head to keep your hair out of your face. If you want to wear your hair up, you can do a low bun and place the comb on top of the bun. The Madison Haircomb would be perfect for these looks.
More brides are adding over-the-top headbands to their wedding look. These headbands are often embellished with lots of pearls, rhinestones and other beautiful details, like for example the Ella Headband. You can go subtle and place one headband in your updo or go all out and incorporate multiple headbands in your hair.
If headbands or hair combs are not your style, go for the effortless, no-care low bun, this works the best if you leave this look loose and slightly unkempt.
The most important thing is to choose a look that suits you and makes you feel the most confident because at the end of the day it is your day and you should feel the best you have ever felt.
